Divided Tank

What You'll Need:
  • 10 report cover spines
  • Tape Measure
  • 2 large plastic canvas sheets (walmart)
  • 4 small plastic canvas sheets (walmart)
  • 1 ten-gallon fish tank (duh)
  • box-cutter (cutting canvas and cover spines)
  • Hot Glue Gun (multitemp recommended)
  • Non-toxic hot glue
  • tap measure
  • whiteboard marking pen

Note: i'm rebuilding a seperated tank that was damaged, so my covers are already cut - Cutting to fit is pretty easy.

What you need (and entertainment)
Step #1: Cutting
Cut some of the report covers into thirds so that you have 24 "1/3" sections, then you need two "2/3" sections

Step #2: Marking
Measure and mark lines onto your tank as shown (for alignment and leveling) - the vertical locations are up to your discretion, my top one is a little high.

You should they should match up thusly:

Eight more "1/3" sections are off-screen

Step #3: Gluing
Cut some of the report covers into thirds so that you have 24 "1/3" sections, then you need two "2/3" sections

Step #4: Glue Center Barrier
Take on of the large canvas sheets and cut it to fit inside the tank along the larger axis, then glue pairs of "1/3" report cover sections (one on each side) to match up with the side mounts

Step #5: Final Assembly
Cut the small sheets to fit into their mounts, and take the other large sheet and cut it so that it may fit into the grove on the top of the tank and make cuts that accomidate the heater power cable and filter assembly
